We set out to buy top quality yearlings (1 year olds) that are likely  to run as two and three year olds, as well as top class National Hunt horses. To do this we use our own skills and experience and our team of bloodstock agents who have an extensive knowledge of pedigrees and what we are looking for in a horses’ conformation to give us the edge to find winners and hopefully champions.

We select top class trainers based on contacts, existing relationships and ability and then allocate horses to best suit those horses’ individual needs.

Our aim is to provide you with the thrill of racing at the highest level at an affordable cost. As an owner at Chelsea Thoroughbreds you can expect a very high level of personal service, this includes regular visits to see the horses training, a dynamic and exciting social calendar along with regular communication through emails, video updates from the trainer showing your horses progress, pictures and messages. Personal telephone calls to discuss horses and a dedicated WhatsApp group to keep you updated.

We recognise that the thought of owning a share in a racehorse can be a daunting experience, it need not be and we strive to make this achievable on every level. On race days, owners will be allocated an owners badge and a member of Chelsea Thoroughbreds will be on hand to ensure that your day is a wider, pleasurable and fulfilling experience. This will include accompanying owners into the parade ring before the race to meet the trainer and jockey and getting the post- race analysis all being well in the winners enclosure!
