We bought the Calyx filly at Tattersalls Book 2 for 60,000gns. A February foal, she is likely to be quite forward and should be ready to make her debut in May with Royal Ascot dreams a month later.
Calyx was owned by Juddmonte in his racing career when trained by John Gosden. The son of Kingman was purchased by Coolmore to stand as a stallion. He himself was an unbeaten Royal Ascot Group 2 winning 2yo and a brilliant sprinter at 3. He has met a great start to his stallion career with 2 Group winning 2yo fillies in his first crop. This filly comes from a lovely family, full of Group winners on the dam side. She was purchased from one of Europe’s top consignors, Newsells Stud.
